Heartbreaking, an 8-year-old child was one of two people killed when two bombs exploded in the packed streets near the finish line of the Boston Marathon today. Two other bombs we’re said to be dismantled, but the FBI says now, there was only the two bombs that went off. Police are still not saying if the bombs we’re terrorist related.
At least 150 people are seriously hurt with injuries, including dismemberment, witnesses said, and local hospitals say they are treating shrapnel wounds, open fractures and limb injuries, several of the injured are also children. Many people that we’re running and watching the race we’re left bloody and dismembered, a truly horrible day.
Two large explosions, just 50 yards apart, went off shortly before 3 pm, just as the runners hit the finish line. One of the explosions happened near the entrance of the Fairmont Copley Hotel in Copley Square. NBC News, citing anonymous law enforcement sources, reported that a "small homemade bomb" is believed to be responsible for the explosions. Security in New York, London and Los Angeles has been beefed up. No matter what religion you believe it, or even if you don’t believe in anything; please take the time to close your eyes and hope that the pain of the victims was quick; wish their loves ones all your symphony, and most of all, luck in finding, and prosecuting anyone involved in this manslaughter of innocents.
